Collection and Delivery
We can arrange for your prescriptions to be collected and delivered from your doctor for the same day if it is possible. We can arrange for oxygen to be delivered to your house.
Urgent Prescriptions
For details of our-of-hours rota service in the area, please refer to the notice displayed in local pharmacy windows, doctor’s surgeries or in the local press. If you have a prescription marked urgent by your doctor (which must be dispensed outside working hours) or if you need medicines in an emergency and the pharmacy is closed contact your local police, who can arrange for a pharmacist to be called out who provides an out-of-hours service.
Emergencies
If you urgently require a prescription medicine that has been previously prescribed by your doctor and you cannot see a doctor then we may be able to help. However this can only be done in cases of genuine emergency and well have to charge the full price of any medicines dispensed. This service is not available on the NHS.
Customer Service
We offer an informal in-house procedure with any problems or concerns you may have about the service we provide. This is completely confidential. Our aim is to give you the highest possible standard of service; we try to deal swiftly with any problems that may occur. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service please ask to speak to our pharmacist or manager who are happy to help.
Help and Advice
Our new service includes more than just dispensing medicines. you can expect sympathetic and confidential advice about your prescriptions and any medical related problems you may be experiencing. Some common complaints can often be treated with medicines we stock behind the counter. Our pharmacist will recommend a suitable choice or you may be advised to see your doctor. We are able to supply a variety of medical supplies.
Full Pharmacy Service
You may have noticed that your local D. PARMER Pharmacy now offers a full pharmacy service. Your friendly staff now have been joined by a pharmacist to service your prescription needs and offer advice about medicines, oxygen, and health matters.
Prescriptions
We dispense both NHS and private prescriptions. As well as carrying a wide range of prescription medicines, we can get other special medicines that your doctor may prescribe very quickly. If you need your prescribed medicine in a hurry, please tell the pharmacist when you arrive so that you may be served straight away. If you have any questions about your treatment, please do not hesitate to ask.
Patient Medication Records
We will record all prescriptions on our computer if you desire. This will enable us to provide a fast and efficient service that is particularly useful if you require repeat prescriptions. The pharmacist can also use your records to give you advice when purchasing over the counter remedies.
